Visit to Kryvyi Rih in the frames of the Tempus project HETES

On October 23-24, 2014 a workshop covering the topic of higher education for sustainable development took place at Kryvyi Rih National University in the frames of the Tempus project 543966 «HIGHER ENGINEERING TRAINING FOR ENVIRONMENTALLY SUSTAINABLE INDUSTRIAL DEVELOPMENT (HETES)».

During the workshop the participants have shared their experience of implementing elements of sustainable development into curriculum. European partners presented their views and approaches, and representatives of Ukrainian universities described their plans and opportunities. Especially very interesting were the reports of the representatives of Catholic University of Leuven (Belgium) and Buckinghamshire New University (UK). Besides IFNTUOG, among the Ukrainian partners there were National Metallurgical Academy of Ukraine and Kryvyi Rih National University.

Within the framework of the workshop, the representatives of National Tempus Office conducted a monitoring of the project, the results of which showed that everything works on well.

Along with the workshop, the National Day of Information on Erasmus+ project, organized by National Erasmus+ Office in Ukraine, took place at Kryvyi Rih National University. 

IFNTUOG was represented by director of the Institute for Research in Petroleum Power and Environmental Engineering Maksym Karpash, head of the Department of International Relations Artur Voronych, assistant professors of the Department of Technical Diagnostics and Monitoring Andrii Yavorskyi and Nazar Tatsakovych.
