On November 25-28, 2014 the VIIth International Scientific and Technical Conference and Exhibition «Modern tools, materials, and techniques for non-destructive testing and technical diagnostics of mechanical engineering and oil and gas equipment" was held at the premises of Ivano-Frankivsk National Technical University of Oil and Gas.
The event was organized by the Department of Technical Diagnostics and Monitoring (Acting Head of the Department Petro Raiter) and the Department of Methods, Grading Tools and Product Certification (Head of the Department Ihor Kisil) of the Institute of Power Engineering.
More than 100 applications were submitted for participation in the conference. There were published 93 abstracts. 5 Institutes of the National Academy of Sciences took part in the conference. Among them: Physical-Mechanical Institute named after G. Karpenko, The National Scientific Center "Kharkiv Institute of Physics and Technology", The E.O.Paton Electric Welding Institute, M. S. Polyakov Institute of Geotechnical Mechanics, and repair control "Koloran" of the Institute of physical chemistry n.a. L.V. Pisarzhevskyi. Representatives of NTUU "Kyiv Polytechnic Institute", National Aviation University, Vinnytsia National Technical University and other universities, took part in the conference. The conference and exhibition were held under the authority of the Ukrainian Society for Non-Destructive Testing and Technical. Diagnostics (USNDT) . Two Vice-Presidents of USNDT - Oleksandr Mozghovyi and Mykhailo Kazakevych were present at the conference. .
After the welcoming address by the Rector of IFNTUOG, Ye. Kryzhanivskyi and Vice-rector for Research and International Affairs, O. Karpash, other participants of the conference had an opportunity to present their reports, share experience and points of view.
