On March 6, 2015 at the General Meeting of National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, rector of Ivano-Frankivsk National Technical University of Oil and Gas Professor Yevstakhii Kryzhanivskyi has been elected a full member of the Academy on the specialty "Physical and Technical Problems of Material Engineering" and bestowed the title of Academician.
In this regard, on March 11, 2015 a press conference with a particiaption of the Head of Ivano-Frankivsk Regional State Administration Oleh Honcharuk was given by Professor Kryzhanivskyi.
The meeting with the representatives of mass media began with the opening speech by Vice-rector for research and international affairs Oleh Karpash who pointed out that the process of transformation of industrial society into postindustrial one is underway, and science is a key element of social changes being the basis for university education. The status value of any university, and its attraction depend on the results of its scientific activity. The membership of the university's scientists in National Academy of Sciences is another step towards scientific recognition of the university.
Currently, Yevstakhii Kryzhanivskyi is the only academician of NAS of Ukraine in the region.
The Head of Ivano-Frankivsk Regional State Administration Oleh Honcharuk congratulated Mr. Kryzhanivskyi on being awarded the title of academician and wished continued success in his future endeavours.
After the congratulatory speeches the rector of the university Professor Ye. Kryzhanivskyi addressed the meeting and told about his way to this high recognition.
