Representatives of the University of Vytautas Magnus (Kaunas, Lithuania) visited the Ivano-Frankivsk National Technical University of Oil and Gas. Lithuanian delegation consisting of the Dean of the Faculty of Natural Sciences
Associate Professor S. Mickevičius, Director of the Scientific and Innovation Company “Phrase” K. Gedvilas and Director of the International Charitable Foundation "EuroAsia" (Ukraine) O. Ivashchenko met with the Vice-Rector for International Affairs M. Karpash, Director of the Center for International Cooperation A.Voronych and Directors of IFNTUOG Institutes. The foreign guests were interested in cooperation with the Institute of Natural Sciences and Tourism, the Institute of Economics and Management, the Institute of Information Technology of IFNTUOG.
Their expertise is of interest to educators and industry practitioners. In particular, Phrase's activities focus on solving the problem of heavy metal wastewater treatment; creation of chemical systems for decontamination of pesticide residues from the surfaces of technical equipment and flushing water, with the prospect of using such systems in the elimination of emergencies related to the leakage of toxic substances and the like.
The directions of future cooperation are currently being discussed by the representatives of the IFNTUOG administration and institutes. The program of the visit included acquaintance of Lithuanian guests with the collection of the Geological Museum, visits to the laboratories of the University, the drilling training center, the Science City "New Energy", as well as a city tour.
