On April 21-24, 2015 the IVth International Scientific and Technical Conference "Oil and Gas Power Engineering 2015" was held at the premises of the Ivano-Frankivsk National Technical University of Oil and Gas (IFNTUOG).
The conference was attended by over 100 representatives of academic and research institutions, oil and gas industry enterprises of Ukraine and EU countries (Slovakia, Hungary, Poland, Romania, Austria and the United States).
The conference began on April 21, 2015 with the Round Table "Oil and gas Dolyna district: problems and prospects". It was attended by representatives of local authorities, scientists of IFNTUOG, leaders of the oil and gas business profile of Dolyna district and experts.
On April 22, 2015 the main event of the conference – plenary session was held. Among the participants there were representatives of the Ivano-Frankivsk Regional State Administration, managers and specialists of the oil and gas sector ("Naftogaz of Ukraine", JSC "Naftohazvydobuvannia" DTEK, JSC "Ukrtransgaz", JSC "Ukrtransnafta" SE "Naukanaftogaz", LLC "Heosyntez inzhenirinh") , IFNTUOG scientists, professors of AGH University of Science and Technology (Poland), Technical University of Kosice (Slovakia), University of Miskolc (Hungary), Technical University of Cluj-Napoca (Romania), Technical University of Vienna (Austria), the company «United Oilfield Services» (USA), representatives of NGOs and media.
A characteristic feature of this year's conference was a series of scientific and technological activities that took place within the framework of university projects funded by the European Union: Seminar on project InnoverEAST (7th Framework Programme for Research and Innovation), Round Table and technology fair for projects HUSKROUA / 101/110 and HUSKROUA / 1101/194 (ENPI Program Hungary-Slovakia-Romania-Ukraine 2007-2013). Round tables "Pipeline system of Ukraine: challenges and solutions" and "Improving the efficiency of exploration and development of natural gas deposits (on the example of Semyrenkivske and Machukhske gas condensate fields)” was of a particular interest to experts and professionals of the industry.
On April 23, 2015 the conference continued in the form of panel sessions at which over 80 speeches on topical issues in the field of petroleum engineering and energy for sustainable development were presented.
On April 24, 2015 the participants visited companies in the area where new energy-efficient technologies were introduced.
