Graduation ceremony of the Faculty of Petroleum Engineering

The solemn ceremony of awarding Specialist’s and Master’s diplomas to the alumni of the Faculty of Petroleum Engineering (“Oil and Gas Extraction” speciality – 66 students; speciality “Drilling” – 58 students) took place in IFNTUOG on July 4, 2014. Besides the Ukrainian students, 30 international students (from China, Cameroon, Nigeria, Syria, Sudan, Algeria, Turkmenistan, Chad, Gabon and others) graduated from the faculty. 

There is no doubt the commencement day will remain forever in the memory of the graduates, as it was turned into a sincere celebration.  The event officially began with the university hymn (hymn of the oilmen) and during the ceremony there worked a full-sized pumping unit, a symbol of oil and gas industry and the faculty.

The hostess of the ceremony was the Oil Queen, who consecrated present day graduates in the students 5 years ago at the very beginning of their studies.

Prof. Oleh Vytiaz, the dean of the Faculty of Petroleum Engineering, congratulated the graduates on the successful completion of studies at the university, wished them good luck and together with the prof. Ihor Chudyk, the head of the Department of Oil and Gas Well Drilling Engineering, prof. Roman Kondrat, the head of the Department of Oil and Gas Field Development and Operation and prof. Bohdan Kopei, the head of the Department of Offshore Oil and Gas Technology, awarded graduates the diplomas.

Notice. Since September 1, 2014 instead of the Faculty, there will function the Institute of Petroleum Engineering in IFNTUOG.
