The first Technology Transfer summer school

From June 23-27th, 2014 the first international summer school “Technology transfer” took place in IFNTUOG. The first summer school was organized in order to teach Ukrainian scientists in the field of technology transfer, learn more about European experience in the field of innovation support and examine in detail Ukrainian realities in the framework of the project HUSKROUA/1101/194 "Cross-border innovation network for technology transfer," funded by the European Union.

During the time of summer school run, there were presented European experience, as well as Ukrainian realities and experience of successful university start-ups. Reports on the project management of innovative enterprises (Technical University of Koshitse, Slovakia), the European experience in the creation of start-ups and business incubation (University of Miskolc, Hungary) and the commercialization of technology developed at universities (Baia Mare North University Centre of the Technical University of Cluj-Napoca, Romania) were of a particular interest.

Ukrainian side presented reports on intellectual property, preparation of technology descriptions, evaluation of investment attractiveness of technology, preparation and submission of presentations, etc.

The general aim of the project is to enhance technology transfer in the cross-border region of Hungary-Slovakia-Romania-Ukraine and ensure that the partner universities will be able to offer new technologies to the changing needs of regional businesses. The specific objective of the project is to create an innovative inter-university network in collaborating Hungarian, Slovak, Romanian and Ukrainian universities aiming to establish effective partnerships with regional businesses and start university technologies transfer to the market by the end of 2015.
