On September 8, 2017 a solemn meeting on the occasion of the professional holiday – the Day of workers of the oil, gas and oil refining industry of Ukraine was held in the Ivano-Frankivsk National Technical University of Oil and Gas.
The modern oil and gas and oil-refining industry of Ukraine - a powerful gas transportation and oil transportation systems, the oil and gas extraction enterprises, factories for the production of oil and gas equipment, the marine oil terminal, the oil refining and gas-processing factories, the branched out networks of gasoline stations and automobile gas-filling compressor stations, service and research establishments.
Many professors, scientists and employees of IFNTUNG gathered in the hall.The newly elected rector of the university, academician of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine Yevstakhii Kryzhanivskyi, Director of the Institute of Petroleum Engineering Oleg Vytiaz, and Director of the Institute of Mechanical Engineering Liubomyr Romanyshyn addressed the guests with a welcoming speech. All the speakers were unanimous in the opinion that the oil, gas and oil-refining industry has always been and remains the basic link of the fuel and energy sector which provides effective functioning and sustainable development of a national economy, a homeland security, supports a social level of living of the nation.
Its employees are solving a number of the important strategic objectives aimed at ensuring energy security of the state, as well as reinforcement of an oil and gas complex of Ukraine as one of the important links in the European system of energy security.
Festive mood was accompanied by music presents from the students of the Institute of Petroleum Engineering.
