On October 6, 2015 a delegation of the Ivano-Frankivsk National Technical University of Oil and Gas (Vice-rector for Scientific and Academic Affairs Oleh Mandryk, Director of the Institute of Petroleum Engineering Oleh Vytiaz, and Director of the Institute of Geological Engineering and Geophysics Valerii Omelchenko) paid an official visit to one of the largest European oil companies «MND» (Hodonin, the Czech Republic). In June 2015 the University signed the Memorandum on cooperation with this company.
Under the requirements of the Memorandum oil company «MND» awarded two scholarships to the best students of the Institute of Petroleum Engineering and the Institute of Geological Engineering and Geophysics of IFNTUOG. In particular, the two best Master students majoring in "Oil and gas well drilling" and "Oil and gas geology" are currently interning in the company.
During the official visit, the delegation held a meeting with the Director General of «MND» Zbynek Parma, his deputies, heads of the Departments of drilling, production, transportation and oil and gas geology.
The two parties agreed on further cooperation which will include: internships, the future employment of the best graduates, training of employees of «MND» in the Drilling simulation center of IFNTUOG, providing various kinds of consulting and expert opinions for the company .
Cooperation with one of the Europe's largest oil and gas companies will give the best students and graduates of the University an opportunity to realize their professional potential in the profession.
