Vice-rector for International Affairs, prof. Maksym Karpash had a meeting with international students studying at the Ivano-Frankivsk National Technical University of Oil and Gas.
It should be noted that more than 500 students from 42 countries of Europe, Asia, Africa are currently enrolled in full-time, undergraduate study at our university. That is why IFNTUOG focuses on the comprehensive development of international students. For them, all the necessary conditions for learning, creative growth and leisure are created.
During the meeting, Mr. Karpash noted that the main task of our university is, first of all, the provision of high-quality educational services for both Ukrainians and foreigners, the number of which increases every year. The administration of the university, of course, is proud of the fact that students have chosen our University as the place of their studies, entrusted our teachers with educating them and contributing to their future professional path. The Vice-rector noted that the commitment of the entire staff of the university is a manifestation of maximum professionalism so that students who come from other countries feel comfortable. In order to support this process, they plan to open cultural centers that will facilitate faster adaptation of international students to life and study in Ukraine. The University is also working on the creation of a International Graduate Fund.
Professor Karpash expressed his hope for closer cooperation of university professors with international students and assured that in the educational process Ukrainian and international students have the same rights.
International students of IFNTUOG take an active part in the cultural life of not only the university, but also the city. They won a victory in competitions organized by the Ukrainian State Center for International Education under the Ministry of Education and Science - "Love Ukraine" and for the best video about studying in Ukraine. Students were also awarded diplomas for participating in the concert to the International Day of the native language, which took place in Ivano-Frankivsk and a flashmob "I'm not afraid to sing in Ukrainian".
