Collaboration with NORD University: new opportunities

The assistant professor of the Department of Energy Management and Technical Diagnostics of the Ivano-Frankivsk National Technical University of Oil and Gas Vitalii Tsykh had the opportunity to do a five-day internship for Higher Education Teachers within the Erasmus + program at the University of NORD, Bodo (Norway).

During his visit, Mr. Tsykh participated in the International conference «High North Dialogue 2019: Business in the Arctic» organized by High North Center for Business and Governance located at Nord University  (Bodo, Norway). The conference and seminar were also attended by scientists, entrepreneurs and students from more than 20 countries of the world.

An interesting and informative event that preceded the conference was the presentation of 10 SMART CITY 2040 projects from young scientists and students on urban scenarios for the next 20 years. Most of the above scenarios deal with the development of energy-efficient technologies, renewable energy sources and technological progress in general.

The problems of energy saving and energy efficiency were reflected in the speeches of the conference participants and during further discussion at the scientific seminar. Scientists from different countries also considered the development of international cooperation in all spheres of activity and the effective interconnection between scientific institutions, the state and entrepreneurship.

As a result of the visit, representatives of IFNTUOG and the University of Nord developed a further plan of action for the successful implementation of the Erasmus + student exchange program and agreed on the possibility of participating in joint international projects on the basis of partnership. In addition, a representative of Norway, a scientist from a local university, was invited to hold lectures on important energy issues.
