US professor Scott Bowell gave a lecture on "Advanced experience in planning and implementing flooding"

On June, 25 a specialist with a 36 -year experience in the oil and gas industry, Professor Scott Bowel has delivered an interesting lecture on "Advanced experience in planning and implementing flooding" at the library's conference hall of IFNTUOG. He is known as the prominent SPE 2005-2006 teacher, the author of 12 papers of the SPE, has been the technical editor of the SPE for over 20 years, and has served as chair of the SPE section, chair of the forum and chair of the Applied Technology Workshop. The event was initiated by the Ivano-Frankivsk branch of the SPE.

During the two-hour lecture, the following issues were considered: flooding planning and injection efficiency; flooding coverage management; designing of injection wells; flood control management; water quality; cracks formation; interdisciplinary aspects of flooding. The lecture was conducted in English with a translation into Ukrainian.
