Ukrainian pysanky by the hands of international students

In Ivano-Frankivsk National Technical University of Oil and Gas, Mrs. Ivanna Ravliuk held a master class for pysanka painting for international students. Participants from Ecuador, Angola, Côte d'Ivoire, Cameroon and Jordan got acquainted with Ukrainian traditions and painted over a dozen Easter eggs with their teachers.

"The most interesting thing is that Jordan knows about such a custom as painting Easter eggs before Easter. However, the students took up the pysachok (stylus) in Ukraine. Pysanky are also painted in Cameroon, but they have some other ornaments. But the Ecuadorians heard about the pysanky for the first time here, but the process itself turned out to be rather interesting for them,"said Iryna Lytvyn.
