On March 1, 2018 the Third All-Ukrainian Pedagogical Reading was held at the Center of Pedagogical Excellence of the Ivano-Frankivsk National University of Oil and Gas with the assistance of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, the National Academy of Pedagogical Sciences of Ukraine, the Institute of Pedagogical Education and Adult Education, and the "Academy of Pedagogical Excellence and Adult Education named after Ivan Ziaziun". This year's event has been held to commemorate academician Ivan Ziaziun, who is rightly considered one of the few representatives of the academic pedagogical elite who, in his scientific work, professed the philosophy of the heart, combined pedagogical technologies with ideological positions and did much to update the national pedagogical science and education.
No wonder that IFNTUOG was chosen as the venue for Pedagogical Reading, since the University of Oil and Gas Profile became one of the 30 universities, where on the initiative of academician Ivan Ziaziun and with the support of the University administration in 2006 the Center of Pedagogical Excellence was created. According to the data of 2017 the Center continues to work fruitfully. As Oleh Mandryk, Vice-rector for Academic affairs of the University noted, over 11 years more than 500 teachers and postgraduates not only from IFNTUOG but also from other universities have undergone training at the Center of Pedagogical Excellence. Such progressive statistics confirm the fact that the Center of Pedagogical Excellence is a guarantee of the success in high-quality training of specialists.
At the plenary meeting issues related to the academic heritage of academician Ziaziun, his conceptual idea of the theory and practice of professional training of the teacher-master, and ideological positions were considered. Scientists, teachers, university students and guests had an invaluable opportunity to listen to the reports of the prominent people of the national pedagogy.
Within the framework of the Third All-Ukrainian Pedagogical Reading a series of master classes related to the development of pedagogical excellence was held.
