On March 13, 2015 Ivano-Frankivsk National Technical University of Oil and Gas hosted a roundtable meeting "Cooperation perspectives in the field of energy saving and energy efficiency between universities of Ivano-Frankivsk region of Ukraine and Lublin Voivodeship of Poland". The roundtable was organized within the "Student with initiative: vector of energy saving " project of public organization "Private Initiative Development Agency" in cooperation with the executive committee of the Ivano-Frankivsk city council and the municipality of Lublin. The project is being implemented with the support of EU as a part of the Cross-border Cooperation Programme "Poland-Belarus-Ukraine" 2007-2013' (PBU CBC).
The meeting aimed at discussing the cooperation perspactives in the field of energy and energy efficiency in Ivano-Frankivsk region of Ukraine, establishing results of cooperation between universities on student exchanges and the carrying out of joint research.
Among the participants of the roundtable there were: representatives of academic staff, postgraduate students and students of Ivano-Frankivsk National Technical University of Oil and Gas, Vasyl Stefanyk Precarpathian National University, as well as the representatives of the John Paul II Catholic University of Lublin, the University of Life Sciences of Lublin, and Lublin Science and Technology Park. The representatives of Lublin City Administration, Ivano-Frankivsk City Council, Ivano-Frankivsk Regional State Administration together with the representatives of industrial enterprises of the Ivano-Frankivsk region were also present at the meeting.
According to the results of the roundtable its participants signed the resolution approving the concept of cooperation between universities of Ivano-Frankivsk region of Ukraine and Lublin Voivodeship of Poland. Other universities and reserch institutions of Lublin and Ivano-Frankivsk can also join the concept.
