Familiarization visit of representatives of Lublin Voivodeship

On November 19, 2014 representatives of universities and private companies of Lublin Voivodeship of Poland visited the Ivano-Frankivsk National Technical University of Oil and Gas within the "Student with initiative: vector of energy saving " project. The event was organized by the public organization "Private Initiative Development Agency", which has been implementing the project since April, 2014 in cooperation with the executive committee of the Ivano-Frankivsk city council and the municipality of Lublin.

The visit aimed at familiarizing members of the Lublin Voivodeship of Poland with a system of objects in the field of energy and energy efficiency in Ivano-Frankivsk region of Ukraine, establishing agreements on further cooperation between universities on student exchanges and the carrying out of joint research.

The meeting began with an acquaintance. Vice-Rector for Research and International Affairs Oleh Karpash presented the university team. The Director of Petroleum Power and Environmental Engineering Research Institute Maksym Karpash presented the scientific and technical activities of the University in the international arena. Associate Professor of the Department of Technical Diagnostics and Monitoring Andrii Yavorskyi told about energy efficiency projects implemented by the University.

In turn, Deputy Dean for Student Affairs Anet Chekhovska-Kosatska from the Lublin Polytechnic University and Professor Irena Malinovska (Mariia Curie-Sklodowska University) told more about the project and energy-saving practices in Lublin.

During the visit, Senior research assistant Volodymyr Ivanov gave the representatives of Lublin Voivodeship a tour of the University. The guests visited solar collector station, solar mini power station and Geological Museum.
