The Ivano-Frankivsk National Technical University of Oil and Gas is ready to share its strategies in the field of dual education, which today belongs to the priorities of the Laws of Ukraine "On Education", "On Higher Education", "On Scientific, Scientific and Technical Activity". The university administration is well aware of the importance of teaching students during their work, involving qualified industrial personnel in pedagogical work, updating educational standards. In the opinion of the administration of IFNTUOG, the Rector Yevstrakhii Kryzhanivskyi and the Vice-rector for academic affairs Oleh Mandryk, it is first of all required to take into account the specific requests of enterprises for the content and quality of vocational education, to carry out institutional research and counseling on the quality of providing educational services in this area. The University is ready to present the experience of setting up educational and production complexes with the involvement of a number of enterprises, creating flexible schedules that envisage theoretical and practical, where students work in the workplace in a specialty, carry out practical and laboratory tasks provided by individual curricula.
By the way, the experience and certain developments of IFNTUOG in this sphere have already been discussed at a joint meeting of the Association of Rectors of Higher Technical Institutions of Ukraine and members of the Presidium of the Union of Rectors of Higher Educational Institutions with the participation of the Minister of Education and Science of Ukraine Liliia Hrynevych in September 2017. Then the issue of dual education as a form of training of competitive specialists for the Ukrainian economy was raised. After all, these changes are aimed at improving the quality of education in Ukraine, bringing it to the level of European standards, reaching the key competences that a student must possess.
The features and advantages of introducing dual education at IFNTUOG were also presented within the framework of a scientific and practical workshop on the implementation of dual education that took place at the end of January this year at the National University of Water and Environmental Engineering (Rivne).
