Cooperation Agreement signed between The Petroleum and Gas University of Ploiesti (Romania) and IFNTUOG

Agreement on Cooperation between the Petroleum and Gas University of the city of Ploiesti and Ivano-Frankivsk National Technical University of Oil and Gas was officially signed in early May 2015 in the city of Ploiesti (Romania).

The agreement aims at the continued cooperation of both parties in the field of education and science, particularly in the field of exchange of bachelors, masters, PhD students, and young scientists. Students will have an opportunity to study according to the program of dual diplomas and undergo traineeships abroad. The objectives of cooperation between the universities in the field of exchange and training of PhD and doctoral students include: the joint supervision of masters’ diplomas, providing scholarship opportunities for students, providing access to modern laboratory equipment and scientific and technical base for conducting researches, as well as exchange of scientific papers, reviews and qualifying papers.

The agreement also provides for deeper cooperation in the field of research: the scientific trainings, establishment of research centers to conduct joint research, exchange of information and research results on the content of educational programs, joint international projects for EU grants.

 Ivano-Frankivsk National Technical University of Oil and Gas was represented by a delegation headed by the Vice-rector for scientific and academic affairs, Professor Oleh Mandryk, Director of the Institute of Petroleum Engineering, Associate Professor Oleh Vytiaz, Director of the Institute of Geology and Geophysics, Assistant Professor Valerii Omelchenko, Deputy Director of the Institute of Petroleum Engineering, Associate Professor Oleksandr Susak. The Romanian university was represented by the Rector, Professor Mihai Pascu Coloja, Senate President, Professor Jon Malureanu, Vice-rectors and staff of International Relations Department.

Hence, signed agreement aims at strengthening ties in educational, scientific and cultural fields and holds great promise for European development of our university.
