Institute of Fundamental Sciences, Liberal Arts and Distance Learning was established on May 4, 2011 as educational, managerial, academic research department that carries out the admission of on-the-job students into the university on the basis of Bachelor’s, Specialist’s and Master’s educational programs and provides academic activity of the university with the liberal arts and fundamental sciences.
The Institute incorporates relevant educational, research and production centres, departments, laboratories, curriculum office (methodic department); conducts educational activities related to the achievement of higher education on-the-job; pursues studies and carries out cultural and educational activities. The Institute maintains close contacts with the oil and gas industry, preparing professionals for the specialized companies, such as: Chornomornaftogaz, Okhtyrkanaftogaz, Dolynanaftogaz, Nadvirnanaftogaz, Ukrburgaz, Druzhba, Ivano-Frankivskgaz, Drohobych plant, OJSC, that specializes in the production of drilling bits, Cherkasytransgaz, Kyivtransgaz, Lvivtransgaz.
