The program "Ukraine-Norway": the participants of the military officers retraining program gained their diplomas

On December 13 2017, the awarding of diplomas to the participants of the program of retraining of retired military personnel within the framework of the international project "Ukraine - Norway" under the program "Entrepreneurship for Sustainable Development" for retired military officers and ATO participants was held in the Ivano-Frankivsk National Technical University of Oil and Gas (Science city “New energy”). As we have already reported, the implementation of this project is funded by the Kingdom of Norway and has been taking place in IFNTUNG for several years in a raw with the support of the International Fund for Social Adaptation (IFSA) and the advanced scientific and educational capabilities of the University aimed at building an energy-efficient society and overcoming problems related to energy saving.

The solemn event, which began with the national anthems of Norway and Ukraine, and video greetings in the Ukrainian language from the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kingdom of Norway to Ukraine, Mr. Ole T.Horpestad, was attended by the coordinator of the project "Ukraine-Norway" from the Nord University Torstein Vick Aarhus, the head of the PR department of the International Fund for Social Adaptation Olha Filina, Vice-Rector for International affairs of IFNTUOG, teachers and students of the program. All of them congratulated the participants on the successful completion of the program, and emphasized its effectiveness in the sphere of not only social adaptation of military personnel, but also the defense capability of the country.

The training of successful entrepreneurs for sustainable economic development took place from September 20 to December 12 of this year. Students studied the basics of management, project management, financing, fundraising, information technology, the English language for special purposes. As part of the retraining program, the students also participated in psychological trainings aimed at social adaptation, development of psychological balance and psychological health. Training sessions on the topic of employment were also an important stage of retraining: "How to prepare a resume correctly", "Self-presentation", "How to communicate properly with employers", and others. The students also had the opportunity to meet with the successful entrepreneurs of the city and took part in the excursion program.

According to the vice-rector for International affairs of IFNTUOG Maksym Karpash, the program aims at social adaptation of retired military personnel and members of their families to civilian life. 

The ceremony was held in a warm atmosphere, and all the participants were greeted with loud applause and parting words.
