Professional retraining of the retired personnel of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and other security forces held in IFNTUOG

 On December 16, 2015 diploma-certificates of the "Ukraine-Norway" project were awarded to the military personnel transferred to the reserve who passed retraining in the Ivano-Frankivsk National Technical University of Oil and Gas. IFNTUOG joined the project, which has been being implemented in Ukraine for 12 years now under the auspices of the International Foundation for Social Adaptation (President - Volodymyr Rubtsov) and the Ministry of Social Policy of Ukraine, in 2014. Training of the first group of students in a specialty "Power Management" in the framework of the program "Professional retraining of the retired personnel of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and other security forces, retired in 2008 - 2015 or those included into the release plan, and their families" started in September this year. The program lasted for 3 months. The program of training (500 hours) included a number of subjects, among which there were: "Alternative energy", "Energy Management", "Marketing of energy", "Energy markets and methods of information processing", "Operations Management". The project involved the best scientific and teaching staff of the University. The main workload was assigned to the Department of technical diagnostics and monitoring. When issuing the certificates, Volodymyr Rubtsov (President of IFAS) and vice-rector of IFNTUOG Oleh Karpash expressed a unanimous opinion about the importance of the retraining for the adaptation of retired servicemen and those returning from the ATO areas, reduction of negative social consequences of reform of the defense sector in terms of the realities of modern Ukraine. Participants of the program emphasized that they gained new knowledge that they need in their civilian life. The event was widely covered by the media.
