On September 14, 2016 a meeting with the Professor of the Faculty of Economics of Kobe Gakuin University (Japan) Yoshihiko Okabe was held at the Ivano-Frankivsk National Technical University of Oil and Gas. The Head of the International Relations Department Artur Voronych presented the main directions of the Japanese university in the field of education and science to the attention of those present at the meeting of representatives of the University administration, international relations Department (IRD) and the representatives of departments and administration of the Institute of Economics and management in oil and gas complex. In turn Yoshihiko Okabe told about the purpose of his visit in IFNTUOG and the future cooperation with Kobe Gakun University. In the result of the meeting it was decided to prepare a Memorandum of understanding and cooperation to sign it in the near future. Among the main areas of cooperation there are: short-term exchanges of students and teachers.
In addition, Yoshihiko Okabe in the course of his visit to the University also visited the Geological Museum, the newest laboratory of the Drilling Department, scientific center «New Energy» and Drilling Simulation Centre.
