On March 6, 2017 a meeting of the international organizing Committee on preparation of Ukrainian-Polish days of education, science and innovation (Forum of rectors of higher technical educational institutions of Ukraine and the Republic of Poland) was held at the premises of the Ivano-Frankivsk national technical University of oil and gas. The Association of Rectors of Higher Technical Educational Institutions of Ukraine and the Conference of Rectors of Technical Universities of the Republic of Poland will organize the forum. It will take place on April 6-7 this year in Kyiv with the support of the Ministry of education and science of Ukraine, Ministry of science and higher education of the Republic of Poland and the Polish educational Foundation "Perspektywy".
Representatives of Polish and Ukrainian educational community attended IFNTUOG.
The Polish delegation consisted of V. Sivinski (President of the educational Foundation "Perspektywy" and Vice-President of the Association of IREG Observatory on Academic Ranking and Excellence), Professor T. Lodygowski (Rector of the Poznan Polytechnic University), Rector, Professor M. Tukendorf, Director of the rector’s office V. Naida and an expert on international activities Ya. Polska (Opole University of technology).
Ukraine was represented by Professor Yu. Bobalo (rector of the Lviv Polytechnic National University), academician of the NAS of Ukraine Ye. Kryzhanivskyi (Rector of IFNTUOG), Professor P. Yasnii (Rector of the Ternopil Ivan Pului National Technical University), co-chair of the organizing Committee, corresponding member of NAS S. Sydorenko (Vice-rector on scientific and pedagogical work and international relations of Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute) and the Secretary of the international organizing Committee A. Kovtun, Deputy Chairman of the Ivano-Frankivsk regional state administration I. Pasichniak.
The Rector of IFNTUOG Ye. Kryzhanivskyi began the meeting. He introduced distinguished guests and announced the agenda. Since the meeting of the organizing Committee was held in IFNTUOG, the University delegation was particularly numerous. It included: first Vice-rector F. Kozak, Vice-rector on scientific work O. Karpash, Vice-rector on scientific and pedagogical work O. Mandryk, Vice-rector on scientific and pedagogical work O. Dzoba, Chairman of the Trade Union, Professor M. Dranchuk, Directors of institutions, head of the academic mobility sector R. Khrabatyn and head of the Department of international relations A. Voronych.
The organizing Committee considered the organization of the Forum and the deepening of cooperation between the higher technical educational institutions of Poland and Ukraine. According to the agenda, the concept of content and program of the Forum, the names of the speakers and the like were discussed. The President of the educational Foundation "Perspektywy" V. Sivinski made a report on behalf of the Polish part and Vice-rector on scientific and pedagogical work of KPI S. Sydorenko presented the Ukrainian part.
