From August 29 to September 18, 2017, three students from the Institute of Petroleum Engineering of the Ivano-Frankivsk National Technical University of Oil and Gas - Andrii Vytiaz (NIVm-17-3), Volodymyr Huk (GRm-17-1) and Arsen Veklyn (NB-14- 3), have been trained in the program of industrial practices in SOCAR NPPI "Naftohaz" in the framework of a memorandum of cooperation signed between IFNTUNG and the Azerbaijani research institute and at the invitation of director of “Naftohaz” NPPI SOCAR (Republic of Azerbaijan) F. Students had the opportunity to work in the research laboratory of drilling fluids (the head of the laboratory Elchin Veliev) and to take part in the study of the parameters of drilling fluids from the wells of the Bulla-deniz field. They note that the laboratory is equipped with the latest FANN equipment, including EP / LUBRICITY TESTER, Mud Balance, Viscometer Model 35SA and other high-precision instruments. Students also got acquainted with the functional of the software of hydrodynamic modeling «Tempest» in the department «Databases and modeling of deposits» (head - Gamydov Natyg Neiman).

Azerbaijani colleagues hospitably met our students and created the necessary conditions for getting acquainted with the latest technologies, including those developed at the Naftohaz NPPI SOCAR. Our students are grateful to SOCAR deputy director of Naftohaz SOCAR B. Suleimanov, the head of the laboratory E.Veliev and Director of the Institute of Petroleum Engineering O.Vytiaz for the opportunity to undergo internship in an Azerbaijani company and gain valuable experience for the future specialty.
