Independent monitoring of the quality of the project "Ukraine-Norway" from the Norwegian foreign Ministry

Ivano-Frankivsk national technical university of oil and gas has been implementing a large-scale international project "Ukraine-Norway", funded by the Kingdom of Norway since 2014. Its purpose is a professional retraining of military personnel, retired members, and their families as well as social adaptation of this layer of population and their integration into the regional economy.

In the framework of the project, the University was visited by a representative of the Swiss consulting company, International Security Sector Advisory Team (ISSAT) Patrick Hagan. The purpose of the visit was to assess the quality of the project "Ukraine-Norway". It should be noted that the foreign expert has a doctoral degree in social psychology and extensive experience in the armed forces of Australia, and this confirms his professionalism and objectivity of the results.

Project quality control monitoring is planned and implemented by ISSAT in accordance with the contract with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Norway. In October and November 2018, representatives of the monitoring Committee worked on the materials provided by NORD University and the International Fund for social adaptation (based on the initial data provided by all partners of the project).

The next stage involves meetings with the project's implementers, including those in IFNTUOG, as the project has already been implemented at our University for four years.

Thus, during the visit, Patrick Hagan met with prof. M. Karpash to monitor the quality of the project "Ukraine-Norway", carried out an analysis of the functioning and importance of the project with the help of focus groups of teachers, trainers of the project, NGO "Bureau of development, innovation and technology" and graduates of previous courses. According to the expert, preliminary studies have a positive result.
