Fruitful cooperation with Norway continues

People who have returned from war often seek their new place in civilian life. Therefore, our duty is to help them in this! For this purpose, the largest in the territory of our country international project “Ukraine – Norway” has been successfully implemented at the Ivano-Frankivsk National Technical University of Oil and Gas for five years, within which a program of retraining of military personnel, ATO participants and members of their families is operating.

Thus, on December 19, graduation ceremony for the participants of the course "Entrepreneurship and Leadership" took place at the premises of IFNTUOG. The graduates were greeted by: Attaché of the Norwegian Embassy in Ukraine, Lieutenant Colonel Boye Garder Lillerud, Rector of the University Yevstakhii Kryzhanivskyi, Vice-rector for International Affairs, Project Coordinator in Ivano-Frankivsk Maksym Karpash, course teachers. All of them were united in their words and thoughts: “The project is clearly necessary, it is important not only for the participants, but also for the country as a whole! Together, we are doing an invaluable job, helping our defenders gain new knowledge, have a successful career, find a job, and realize their potential!”

That is true! Many of today's graduates have understood their purpose during the period of study, while others have "caught fire" with their own business idea or are already implementing it. Now it is already possible to talk about many successful start-ups of former students of previous programs, who started their own business, implemented their own project or received a grant. As a result, the retraining program is gaining in popularity with the public.

For reference. The main objective of the Ukraine - Norway project is to provide free assistance to the military personnel of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, members of the ATO and their families in the effective realization of their potential in civilian life. After all, some of them have been in military service for many years, others have participated in the anti-terrorist operation, and all of them need assistance in returning to a peaceful and democratic life. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Norway funds the project.

In general, the Ukraine-Norway project has been implemented in Ukraine since 2003 and in 15 years has become one of the largest international projects in our country. It has been successfully implemented at IFNTUOG since 2014. During this time, more than 200 graduates have been trained (2015 - 2019).

During this time, we have:

- many success stories,

- new opportunities, knowledge and acquaintances,

- more than 200 graduates in Ivano-Frankivsk since 2014

- almost 100% employment!
