Experience of European cities for Ukrainian ones through science and innovation

The international conference "New trends in energy planning and mobility in cities", which was held within the framework of the SIMPLA project, has completed its work in Italy (Trieste). The SIMPLA project promotes the exchange of information, knowledge and experience in creating sustainable urban mobility in Europe, for the development of the transport system of cities, energy and improve their environmental condition.  This is an extremely topical issue for Europe; therefore, the project is financed by the European Directorate-General for Mobility and Transport.

The conference was attended by the representative of the Ivano-Frankivsk national technical university of oil and gas, Vice-rector for international affairs, Prof. M. Karpash. IFNTUOG was chosen the only institution in Ukraine to reproduce the results of the project for Ukrainian cities and regions. This time important issues of improving energy efficiency of cities and entire regions, the dependence of climate change on the functioning of urban infrastructure, and environmental problems were discussed by the participants of the conference.
