On January 29, 2016 Vice-rector for scientific and academic affairs, Professor Oleh Mandryk, Director of the Institute of Petroleum Engineering Oleh Vytiaz, Director of the Institute of Geology and Geophysics Valerii Omelchenko and director of the company "Prompostach" S. Veklyna visited Krakiw AGH University of Science and Technology (Akademia Górniczo-Hutnicza im. Stanisława Staszica – AGH) at the invitation of Polish colleagues.
In the course of celebration of the Graduate Student Day (Dzien Dyplomanta) in Krakiw AGH University of Science and Technology (Akademia Górniczo-Hutnicza im. Stanisława Staszica – AGH) Director of the Institute of Petroleum Engineering Oleh Vytiaz was awarded the Medal of Merit to the Faculty of Drilling, Oil and Gas of AGH. It was noted that over a short period of time (2010-2016) the cooperation between the Institute of Petroleum Engineering of IFNTUOG and Faculty of Drilling, Oil and Gas of AGH has been fruitful and effective. The program of academic mobility has been being implemented by the two universities (dual diplomas for students of the two universities, joint projects under the program "Polish Aid", joint researches, scientific papers publishing etc.) During the last 4 years Oleh Vytiaz has been lecturing to Polish students on the program "Visiting Professor".
After the celebrations, the Ukrainian delegation was invited to the traditional meeting (spotkanie Gwarków), attended by the Polish university administration, professors from European Universities of oil and gas profile, heads of the Polish mining and oil and gas companies, and faculty graduates. The meeting was held in a friendly atmosphere.
