The 2018th year was marked for the Ivano-Frankivsk National Technical University of Oil and Gas by successful indicators in the field of international cooperation. Thus, in December, an agreement on cooperation between IFNTUOG and Micon-Drilling GmbH (Germany) was signed.
Recently, at the invitation of the management of the partner company, the director of the Institute of Petroleum Engineering, Oleh Vytiaz, visited Micon-Drilling GmbH.
Within a few days Mr. Vytiaz had an opportunity to get acquainted with the high-tech process of drilling equipment manufacturing and organization of provision of services by Micon-Drilling company to oil and gas and mining enterprises.
During the visit, Mr. Vytiaz met with the Managing Director Kai Schwarzburg, Operations Manager Bartosz Kmiec, Sales Managers Mateusz Gegotek and Christian Stab, as well as Service and Operations Manager Apostolos Rokkas. During the meeting the representatives established contacts and discussed possible ways of cooperation of the university with the German company, in particular: conducting researches and expertise of oil and gas equipment by the order of the German company, students' internships and training of teachers at the sites of the company MICON-Drilling.
The visit is a good start for expanding and developing mutually beneficial cooperation between the University and Micon-Drilling GmbH. We hope that cooperation will promote the training of highly skilled professionals, will allow us to combine science and production, and will open up new opportunities for university lecturers and students.
