The successful implementation of Ukrainian-Norwegian project involving the University of Nordland (Bodø, Norway), International Fund for Social Adaptation (Kyiv, Ukraine), and Ivano-Frankivsk National Technical University of Oil and Gas continues.
On February 22 opening ceremony of the fourth group of students studying in the framework of Ukrainian-Norwegian project aiming at retraining of 30 military personnel, retired members, and their families as well as social adaptation of this layer of population and their integration into the regional economy was held in the Ivano-Frankivsk National University of Oil and Gas. The «Economic security of enterprises" training program will provide students with the knowledge and skills needed to start and run their own business.
On June 9, 2015 Mr. Jon Elvedal Fredriksen, Ambassador of Norway to Ukraine visited Technical University of Oil and Gas. Mr. Fredriksen said that he was well acquainted with the projects implemented by IFNTUOG and noted that the results of the projects deserved high praise. Mr. Ambassador also said that the National Technical University of Oil and Gas had a powerful potential and Norwegian party was interested in deepening cooperation between universities of both countries.
As you can see this cooperation continues and is pretty fruitful.
Vice-rector for scientific and pedagogical work, social and economic development Oleh Dzoba provided a short overview of the IFNTUOG’s activity within the framework of the Ukrainian-Norwegian project adding that this project is "a good example of building harmonious international relations."
Olha Filina, the head of the PR- department of the International Fund for Social Adaptation visited the ceremony and stressed the importance of the project’s main objective – the removal of social tension among the officers in connection with a massive reduction of armed forces and facilitating social adaptation of officers and their families to conditions of civil life.
This year training will be attended by 30 students aged from 23 to 50, nine of which are family members of servicemen, 4 –demobilized members of ATO. The group will include 12 women. Each participant received educational materials developed by the IFNTUOG and other Ukrainian universities – participants of the project.
