The cooperation between IFNTUOG and the State School of Higher Education in Chełm (Poland) continues

On April 14-25, 2016 4th year students majoring in "Translation and Interpreting" of the Institute of Humanities and Public Administration had an opportunity to undergo regular practical training at the State School of Higher Education in Chełm (Poland) within the Agreement on cooperation between the Ivano-Frankivsk National Technical University of Oil and Gas and the Polish university.
Ukrainian students were offered lectures and practical classes on the following courses: American studies, English philology and Pedagogy. In addition, our students had the opportunity to work in the modern language laboratories of the Polish university to improve phonetics, simultaneous interpreting skills, abilities to work with multimedia equipment, which is often used in the work at conferences, talks and so on.
To enrich the terminological vocabulary of our students during practice in Poland they visited a number of technical laboratories of the State School of Higher Education: engineering, aircraft maintenance, mechanics, welding, environmental, and biochemical.
As the Head of the Department of Philology, Translation and Interpreting of IFNTUOG Oksana Kohut noted, the Department currently cooperates in those areas that are of interest for us, in particular technical translation and pedagogy.
Mrs. Kohut has also discussed plans for further cooperation with the head of the International Relations Department of the State School of Higher Education in Chełm Mr. Zygmunt Gardziński.
