According to the Decree of the President of Ukraine on a nationwide festival of science, within the framework of celebration of the Day of Science a traditional ceremonial meeting between the academic community of the University with the participation of heads of research councils of schools, institutes, heads of academic schools, heads of departments, researchers, teachers and students was held in the university. Rector of the university, Professor Ye. Kryzhanivskyi attended the meeting. The Vice-Rector for Research, Professor O. Karpash congratulated the scientists and in his speech he outlined the scientific achievements of the university with which our school came up to this year's Science Day. The Head of the Scientific and Technical Department, N. Melnyk announced four orders according to which certificates and cash prizes were awarded to the best scientists, students and winners of competitions and contests for high achievements in science and the scientific results of the national student competition, student research and the "New Energy" competition among the students of the Ivano-Frankivsk region. Overall 14 certificates and cash prizes in the amount of 6,500 hryvnias were awarded.
The students of IFNTUOG Mariia Stefuryn and Delfinu Tomash (Angola) greeted the participants of the solemn meeting with their beautiful singing.
