On May 17, 2016 celebrations on the occasion of the completion of the regular training programme of the project "Ukraine - Norway" were held at the conference hall of the scientific library of the Ivano-Frankivsk National Technical University of Oil and Gas. The event was attended by military attaché of the Embassy of the Kingdom of Norway in Ukraine, the captain of the second class Hans Petter Midttun with his wife, PR Manager of the International Foundation for Social Adaptation (IFSA) Olha Filina, head of the Ministry of Emergencies in Ivano-Frankivsk region Volodymyr Chernetskyi, coordinators and teachers of IFNTUOG involved in the program "Professional retraining of the retired military personnel and members of their families”, participants of the project, students, and guests.
Vice-rector for scientific and pedagogical work, social and economic development Oleh Dzoba and Vice-rector for scientific and academic affairs Oleh Mandryk welcomed the honored guests. Mr. Dzoba congratulated the guests on the Day of the Norwegian Constitution and summed up the results of study. He also made an excursus into the history of development of the project "Ukraine-Norway" in IFNTUOG, showed the dynamics and prospects of further development of cooperation in the framework of the project "Ukraine - Norway". Norwegian military attaché, captain of the second class Hans Petter Midttun congratulated the participants of the project, expressing his admiration for the Ukrainian people, their bravery and courage in the struggle for independence and territorial integrity of their country, and noting the need for reforms in Ukraine. He hoped that the expansion of cooperation with Norway will become a reliable support in the development of our country. Guests and participants of the event watched a film about the IFNTUOG.
In a solemn ceremony the diplomas to students of theretraining courses were issued by the military attache of Norway and the Vice-rector for scientific and academic affairs Oleh Mandryk. Graduates received gifts, namely educational books, published at the expense of the International Foundation for Social Adaptation in Ukraine. One of the graduates – a former soldier with 27 years of experience Dmytro Perevozov, noted the importance of the project for future civil life and thanked the government of Norway for support and assistance.
