Today in the Science City “New Energy” the ceremony of awarding diplomas to graduates of the program of retraining and social adaptation of military personnel, ATO participants and their families in the framework of the international project "Ukraine - Norway" took place. This time, students of the fall semester of 2018 took the course "Entrepreneurship for Sustainable Development", which aimd to train successful entrepreneurs for sustainable economic development.
At the solemn event, which began with the national anthems of Norway and Ukraine, and a video greetings from the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kingdom of Norway to Ukraine, Ole Terje Horpestad, were present: Adviser of the Norwegian Embassy for Cooperation and Development Petter Bauk, President of the International Fund for Social Adaptation Volodymyr Rubtsov, Head of the Department of Investment Policy of the Executive Committee of Ivano-Frankivsk City Council Ihor Popadiuk, Vice-Rector for International Affairs of IFNTUNG, prof. Maksym Karpash, participants of the project "Ukraine-Norway" in Ivano-Frankivsk, teachers and students of the program.
All of them congratulated the participants on the successful completion of the program, and emphasized its effectiveness in the sphere of not only social adaptation of military personnel, but also the defense capability of the country.
Emphasizing the importance of the project, prof. Maksym Karpash said: "It's always hard for a person to adjust to the conditions of a civilian life after a long service in the army. We do the right thing helping our defenders gain new knowledge, make a successful career, find a job. And this is owing to our Norwegian partners. "
Thus, the training of successful entrepreneurs for sustainable economic development this time took place from September 11 to December 17. The program included vocational retraining, consisting of 500 academic hours, and social adaptation, which in turn consisted of legal, psychological adaptation and assistance to the trainees of the courses in employment. Participants of the program studied the basics of management, project management, financing, fundraising, information technology, and professional English language. The students also participated in psychological trainings for social adaptation, development of psychological balance and health. Training sessions on employment were also an important stage in retraining. In addition, the participants had a wonderful opportunity to meet with successful entrepreneurs of the city and participate in the excursion program.
The lessons were conducted by experienced professors of the IFNTUOG, the University of Nord (Nord University), psychologists, representatives of the employment center, who delivered interesting lectures and conducted practical seminars. It is important that during the whole year after the end of the course, the project provides for mentorship: each participant can address any teacher who was involved in the project.
Undoubtedly, this project is very important for its participants. It changes their lives in one way or another. Graduates of previous courses always share their positive impressions about the course and results of the implementation of the curriculum, note the relevance of the acquired knowledge, high professionalism of the faculty, which helps the students not only adapt to a peaceful life, but also become successful.
