The Ivano-Frankivsk National Technical University of Oil and Gas welcomes the high guest, a researcher and head of the laboratories of the Research and Development Project Institute Naftogaz of the State Oil Company SOCAR of the Azerbaijan Republic, Doctor of Philosophy Elchin Veliev. He is actively involved in the implementation of the provisions of the Agreement on Mutual Cooperation between IFNTUOG and RDPI Naftogaz SOCAR (Azerbaijan). Mr. Veliev has also earned the gratitude of our students who, while on the training in the RDPI, were taught by a young scientist to work on the latest laboratory equipment: EP / LUBRICITY TESTER, Mud Balance, Viscometer Model 35SA and other tools.
It should be noted that Elchin Veliev has recently been attending IFNTUOG as a student of correspondence training (major "Mining", specialization "Drilling of oil and gas wells"), and today he has received a bachelor's degree, successfully passing the exam. Due to the need for a profile education, a friendly attitude towards Ukraine and a good reputation of IFNTUOG among Azerbaijani scientists and specialists in oil and gas sphere Mr. Veliev decided to become a member of the student сcommunity of our university.
Having talked to Elchin Veliev, we were pleasantly impressed by his knowledge of Ukrainian history, respect for our country, openness to communication. Elchin Veliev thanked the professors of the Institute of Petroleum Engineering, the Department of Drilling of Oil and Gas Wells, the Director of the Institute, the former Head of the Department of Drilling of Oil and Gas Wells, and today - Vice-rector for research Ihor Chudyk and the acting Head of the Department – Ya. Femiak, who shared with him not only knowledge and experience, but also love for Ukraine; secretaries and laboratory assistants who were always happy to help a foreign student. He also stressed that the university created the necessary conditions for comfortable training of competitive specialists, as well as the potential for cooperation between IFNTUOG and Naftogaz SOCAR in the light of recent developments in the oil and gas industry - the project of construction of the Southern Gas Corridor.
