15th anniversary of the project Ukraine-Norway: IFNTUOG scientists took part in the International Conference

Delegation from the Ivano-Frankivsk National Technical University of Oil and Gas, consisting of Vice-rector for academic affairs, prof. O. Mandryk, Vice-rector for international affairs Professor M. Karpash, Professor O. Karpash, Associate Professor A. Voronych took part in the International Conference "Knowledge for building society and business. Norwagian-Ukrainian cooperation".

It should be noted that the International Conference devoted to the 15th anniversary of the project "Ukraine-Norway" was held in Kyiv on September 27-28. Based on 15 years of close cooperation between Norwegian and Ukrainian institutions, a conference was organized with the aim of addressing the need for knowledge to develop society and business in both countries. The organizers of the event were the International Foundation for Social Adaptation and Business school High North Center for Business and Governance at the Nord university.

A large-scale event (more than 150 people) was held with the participation of Ambassador of the Kingdom of Norway to Ukraine Ole Terje Horpestad. Academics and teachers of the Business School and the High North Center for Business and Governance of the Nord University, representatives of the Ministry of Defense, Ministry of Social Policy, Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine took part in the conference. Representatives of universities-members of the Norwegian-Ukrainian Alliance of Universities, the public sector, and participants in the retraining program for military officers, ATO participants and their family members also attended the event.  

Three sessions were held within the conference:  

• Quality of Institutions.

• The re-training project in persons and results.

• Education, research, business. Results and prospects of cooperation.

IFNTUOG has been implementing the Ukraine-Norway project for a long time (since 2014). This is one of the largest international projects in the territory of our state funded by the Kingdom of Norway. It aims at a professional retraining of the retired personnel of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and other law enforcement agencies, members of their families and assistance in their employment.

During the conference, within the framework of the implementation of the joint project "Ukraine-Norway" on retraining and social adaptation of military personnel and their families, presentations of successful graduates of the courses were held, results of project monitoring were presented. Norwegian teachers also talked about the experience of working in Ukrainian universities, while the Ukrainian ones presented the achievements of the project implementation in their universities.
