At the University , 24-27 March 2014 made the All-Ukrainian inter-institutional competition - the protection of student research papers in the field of "Oil and Gas Industry " in five categories , namely:
- Oil and Gas Engineering;
- Transport and storage of oil and gas;
- Equipment Oil and Gas ;
- Control , Measurement and Evaluation ;
- Oil and gas energy and energy efficiency.
The competition was attended by 31 students from 8 universities in Ukraine , namely : Ukrainian Engineering and Pedagogical Academy , Kharkiv , National Technical University " Kharkiv Polytechnic Institute", National Aviation University , Kyiv, Odessa National Academy of Food Technologies, SSU University of Poltava National Technical University. Kondratyuka Yuri , the Technological Institute of East-Ukrainian National University. Dal , Ivano -Frankivsk National Technical University of Oil and Gas.
Presented at the competition research work focused on the research and improvement of the technical means used in the construction and operation of oil and gas wells , wells in the construction of the search , the coal fields and more. Reports of students extensively illustrated with necessary materials using modern means of demonstration . The best students were awarded diplomas , including:

During the competition the participants had a tour of the Geological Museum, with an exhibition presented at the exhibition hall of innovation and research and training center. Students also visited the R & D laboratories of the departments .
The conference ended with a guided tour in a picturesque corner of the Carpathians - Yaremche Bukovel.
