The “Climate Innovation Vouchers” Program supports Ukrainian climate-friendly technology developers, enhancing their ability to create and implement innovative solutions in Ukraine and beyond. By the end of 2018, the Climate Innovation Vouchers Program, with a total budget of 1 million euros, will provide support for about 50 innovative projects in Ukraine.
On January 16, 2018, the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) and the Ukrainian Network of Energy Innovations Greencubator held an official ceremony of announcing the winners of the second round, which were selected in October-December 2017 from more than 40 Ukrainian companies that submitted their climate-friendly innovation proposals to the competition. The selection was attended by industry experts and representatives of the Kyiv and London offices of the EBRD. The team of the Science city "New Energy" was one of 10 winning companies that received financial assistance from the EU and the EBRD, which will focus on the development and refinement of technologies that reduce greenhouse gas emissions and reduce energy use in the agricultural sector, utilities, transport, aerospace, and other sectors.
