Program NATO–Ukraine on retraining of discharged military personnel

On June 1, 2017, the students of the program "Marketing management", conducted in the framework of the "NATO-Ukraine program on retraining of retired military personnel” obtained their certificates at the premises of the Centre for entrepreneurship development "Business Incubator" of the Institute of Economics and management in oil and gas complex. Vadym Kozak, project manager of  Science Park of the Kyiv National Economic University named after Vadym Hetman noted that the "NATO-Ukraine" program contributes to social adaptation of military personnel transferred to the reserve and involves the development of norms and rules of socio-economic environment, and adaptation to new social conditions. It ends with the exercising the right to work, free career choice, obtaining fair and satisfactory rewards for it, and, as a result, decent living conditions. NATO countries struggle to remove the tension caused by the dismissal of the military personnel from the army. There is a big expectation that NATO will continue to retrain Ukrainian officers seeking skills for new civil professions.

As Iryna Perevozova, the Head of the Department of marketing and controlling of the Ivano-Frankivsk national technical university of oil and gas rightly noted, reserve officers had an opportunity to gain knowledge relative to the needs of the end consumer of goods and services, acquire the ability to respond flexibly to all sales requirements, improve the profitability of the enterprise. All this was made possible due to the tireless work of leading scientists of the Institute of Economics and management in oil and gas complex of IFNTUOG and KNEU. The students mastered the effective use of different forms and methods of selling goods, formation and control of the population needs, enhancing the prestige of the brand and the company; studied the process of marketing management, advertising campaigns and marketing research, etc. The classes were conducted in the form of presentations, discussions, case studies, and business games.
