Professors from the AGH (Poland) lectured to the students of IFNTUOG within the cooperation agreement

On November 28 2017, teachers and scientists of the Faculty of Mining Geodesy and Engineering Ecology of the University of Science and Technology (Polish Akademia Górniczo-Hutnicza im. Stanisława Staszica) (AGH) visited the Ivano-Frankivsk National Technical University of Oil and Gas. The visit took place within the framework of the signed cooperation agreement between IFNTUOG and AGH, which envisages not only the preparation of masters under the program of dual diplomas, but also the participation of teachers of both universities in the educational process and research.

This time, the lectures for students of the Institute of Environmental Engineering of the specialty "Geodesy and land management" (bachelors of the 4th year of study and masters of the 1st year of study) were delivered by specialists in the field of land cadastre: deputy dean for cooperation and development, Dr. Tomasz Lipecki and Dr. Malgorzata Busko.

A lecture by a Polish colleague concerning the features of the land cadastre of Poland presented a problem in the historical and contemporary context. According to the Director of IEE Myroslav Mazur, this cycle of lectures is of great importance to our students today, as the standards of geodetic and cartographic measurements of modern Poland are undergoing the process of unification with the standards of other European Union countries. For future specialists of Ukraine who will work on European integration, it is an opportunity to carry out a comparative analysis of Ukrainian standards in this area and to use the positive current experience of neighboring countries that have already made their way to European standards. Although Poland, according to deputy dean on issues of cooperation and development T. Lipecki, did not overcome all the problems. He also noted that they are willing to work with Ukrainian students who have good professional training. M. Busko is the curator of scientific works of Ukrainian students.

The "professorial" visit of the AGH professors to the university is very helpful. It expands not only the educational and scientific, but also the language borders.

Polish guests also had the opportunity to speak with the university administration and visit the Science City "New Energy" and the high-energy laboratory "Tesla Show".
