On July 11-22, 2016 under the auspices of the Institute of Petroleum Engineering of IFNTUOG 12 Polish students of the Faculty of drilling, oil and gas of the AGH University of Science and Technology (Akademia Górniczo-Hutniczaim. Stanisława Staszica – AGH) undertook internship at the oil and gas sites of the Carpathian region. 10-day traditional practice of international students was held in the framework of the Agreement on cooperation in education and research between the Ivano-Frankivsk National Technical University of Oil and Gas and the Polish University.
Director of the Institute of Petroleum Engineering of IFNTUOG Oleh Vytiaz met guests from Poland and briefly told them about the future internship. Group of students came with the curators – Deputy Dean of the Faculty of drilling, oil and gas, Professor Czeslaw Rybizki and doctoral student – Marek Solezki. The employees and teachers of the Institute of Petroleum Engineering have created a comfortable environment for the guests and put a lot of effort to make their internship informative, educational and useful. The Polish students had the opportunity to get acquainted with the research laboratories of the departments of the Institute of Petroleum Engineering, Drilling training center, and geological museum of IFNTUOG, innovation and exhibition complex. During the internship the students got acquainted with the ways of operation of wells, collection and preparation of oil and gas, the work on capital repair of wells, technological process of drilling. Polish trainees admitted that they appreciate the acquired professional experience, and skills they could not obtain at home. In addition, a study tour in the Carpathian region was organized for the Polish guests.
The internship ended by the ceremony of awarding personal certificates with the participation of Vice-rector on scientific and pedagogical work of IFNTUOG Oleh Mandryk, Director of the Institute of Petroleum Engineering Oleh Vytiaz, Vice-Dean of the Faculty of drilling, oil and gas of the AGH University of Science and Technology, Professor Czeslaw Rybizki, the Polish students. All unanimously welcomed the results of the internship and expressed hope for further fruitful cooperation between universities.
