Our scientists received honorary awards

In June 2016, scientists of the Ivano-Frankivsk National Technical University of Oil and Gas – Vice-rector for scientific and academic affairs Oleh Mandryk and Director of the Institute of Geology and Geophysics Valerii Omelchenko visited AGH University of Science and Technology (Akademia Górniczo-Hutnicza im. Stanisława Staszica – AGH) (Krakow, Poland) where they received high award – Honorary sword to honor many years of cooperation in the field of science. 
We should not that the University is one of the strongest technical universities in Poland and conducts research at a high international level. IFNTUOG and AGH University of Science and Technology have long been linked by joint programs and projects in educational and research fields, among which it is worth to highlight the agreement on dual diplomas, which involves students of the Institute of Petroleum Engineering, Institute of Economics and Management in Oil and Gas Complex, Institute of Geology and Geophysics, Institute of Environmental Engineering, and Institute of Mechanical Engineering. This time negotiations concerning training and exchange of students for 2016/2017 academic year and practice of Polish students in the IFNTUNG in July 2016 were also conducted.
Our scientists took part in the celebrations dedicated to the 70th anniversary of the faculty of Geology, Geophysics and Environmental protection of AGH University of Science and Technology.
