New project launched by IFNTUOG

Students from the AGH University of Science and Technology (Akademia Górniczo-Hutnicza im. Stanisława Staszica – AGH) (Krakow, Poland) visited the Ivano-Frankivsk National Technical University of Oil and Gas within the project "International cooperation in oil and gas education as excellent training of entrepreneurship and professional skills", which takes place with the support of the Ministry of Youth and Sports of Ukraine, and is organized by the Institute of Petroleum Engineering and Student SPE Chapter. The project aims at exchanging experience, principles of building and effective cooperation in research, production and education activities of the oil and gas sector.

On Monday, October 8, the Director of the Institute of Petroleum Engineering Oleh Vytiaz began the meeting with the Polish delegation, congratulating students and teachers.

Vice-rector on academic affairs prof. O. Mandryk congratulated the students on the beginning of the new academic year, as this year Mining and Metallurgical Academy celebrates its 100th anniversary. He stressed the importance of cooperation between IFNTUOG and AGH on the dual diploma program.

"This year's project should not only bring together Polish and Ukrainian students, but also raise the level of cooperation and creativity," said Mr. Mandryk.

The head of the department of drilling of AGH, prof. Jan Ziaja, thanked the Rector of the IFNTUOG for years of fruitful cooperation. Presenting the activities of the academy and work within Erasmus +, he spoke about the benefits of teaching Ukrainian students in Poland.
