Institute of Mechanical Engineering deepens international ties

On April 14, 2016 the delegation of the Ivano-Frankivsk National Technical University of Oil and Gas consisting of the Director of the Institute of Mechanical Engineering Professor L. Romanyshyn and Yu. Mosora who is responsible for the international activities of the Institute, paid a visit to the Petroleum-Gas University of Ploiesti (Romania) to establish cooperation and sign the agreements between the Institute of Mechanical Engineering of IFNTUOG and the Faculty of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering of the Romanian University.
The cooperation within the program "Erasmus" was also discussed.

The official signing of the cooperation agreement took place with the participation of the Director of the Institute of Mechanical Engineering Professor L. Romanyshyn (IFNTUOG), Rector Mihai Pascu Coloja and Dean Ion Popa (Petroleum-Gas University of Ploiesti). The agreement provides for deepening cooperation in the field of scientific research, includes a provision on practical training of students and internship of teachers, joint research, joint publication of scientific papers.

During the working visit the delegation of the IFNTUOG together with the representatives of the Romanian University visited plant on production of oil and gas equipment "Upetrom" in Ploiesti – an industrial giant with strong manufacturing traditions, famous for its products far outside of their country. Due to the verbal agreement with the plant's management, the students of IFNTUOG who undertake internship at Petroleum-Gas University of Ploiesti will have an opportunity to visit the plant during their stay in Romania in order to have practical training there.
