Cooperation agreements signed with PJSC "Ukrnafta" and the Norwegian company AGR

On  May 16, 2017 in the framework of the VIth International scientific and technical conference "Oil and gas power engineering-2017" dedicated to the 50th anniversary of the Ivano-Frankivsk National Technical University of Oil and Gas rector, academician of NAS of Ukraine, Professor Ye. Kryzhanivskyi signed two important Agreements on cooperation with PJSC "Ukrnafta" and the Norwegian company AGR.

In his welcoming speech the rector of the University noted that due to the complicated situation in the East of the country, the Academic Council decided not to hold massive celebrations of the 50th anniversary of the IFNTUOG. That is why they have decided to celebrate the half-century anniversary of IFNTUOG by three large scientific conferences, the second of which takes place these days.

During the signing of the agreement with PJSC "Ukrnafta", the representative of the company Volodymyr Ohryzko noted that IFNTUOG has made a great contribution to the development of the oil and gas industry, and the company is extremely interested in cooperation with the University. This applies to the practical training of students at the company, writing master's theses for solving the current problems of the industry, the introduction of programs to stimulate the best students, involvement of high level specialists of PJSC "Ukrnafta" in trainings and lectures and the like. The agreement provides for cooperation until 2020. In conclusion, on behalf of the Chairman of the Board of PJSC "Ukrnafta" Mark Rollins, V. Ohryzko handed over a note of acknowledgement to the rector for the significant contribution of the University in the development of oil and gas education and science.

Later, the rector of IFNTUOG signed a Memorandum of cooperation with the Chairman of the Board of the Norwegian company AGR Svein Sollund. It should be noted that it is not the first cooperation with Norway for IFNTUOG. Moreover, the University has long-term positive experience of cooperation with the Norwegian universities, the Norwegian-Ukrainian chamber of Commerce and industry (www.nucc.no), joint projects with energy management ("Ukraine–Norway", "Professional retraining of former military personnel of the armed forces and other security agencies, their family members and employment assistance"). Representatives of the Norwegian-Ukrainian chamber of Commerce and industry Amund Myklebust and Dmytro Primak who helped in establishing contacts joined the signing of the Memorandum. AGR is one of the leading oil and gas companies in Norway and operates on six continents. Not having its own fields, it managed to provide a full cycle of hydrocarbon production. The importance of the signed document was stressed by the rector of the University, as scientists of IFNTUOG actively work to ensure energy security through increased domestic production of gas by large-scale introduction of technologies of deep and superdeep drilling.

All signers had the opportunity to talk with the media.
