On September 4, 2017 Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Norway to Ukraine Mr. Ole Terje Horpestad visited the Ivano-Frankivsk National Technical University of Oil and Gas.
During his first visit to the IFNTUOG, the ambassador met with the rector of the university, academician of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine Ye. Kryzhanivskyi and the University administration. At the high level, the issues of deepening cooperation with Norwegian universities and oil and gas sector organizations were discussed. Ole Terje Horpestad has promised active support in the implementation of joint projects. The Ambassador had a tour around the University, visited the Drilling Center and the Geological Museum. The special interest of the honored guest was caused by the science city "New Energy", presented by the Director of the Scientific Research Institute, prof. Maksym Karpash. Our young scientist outlined the main vectors of "New Energy", stressed the importance of the University's long-term cooperation with organizations from Norway in the field of education and energy efficiency.
