100th academic year began at AGH University of Science and Technology (Akademia Górniczo-Hutnicza im. Stanisława Staszica – AGH) (Krakow, Poland)

A long-term partner of the Ivano-Frankivsk National Technical University of Oil and Gas - AGH University of Science and Technology celebrates the beginning of the 100th jubilee year. It is one of the best, most authoritative and at the same time the most advanced high schools in Poland, which is famous for its scientific schools and highly skilled specialists. Due to its activities that are highly valued in Poland and abroad, the university holds key positions in the sphere of advanced technology. Today AGH University of Science and Technology (Akademia Górniczo-Hutnicza im. Stanisława Staszica – AGH) is the largest technical higher education institution in the country: 16 faculties, 54 majors, more than 200 specialties. AGH diplomas open doors to the best domestic and foreign companies and firms, and the professionalism of its graduates is highly valued among employers.

Close and fruitful cooperation has been linking our universities for a long time. Joint educational and scientific activities promote mutually beneficial development of both universities. Therefore, to congratulate our Polish partners, a delegation of the IFNTUOG consisting of Rector, Professor. Ye. Kryzhanivskyi, Vice-rector for academic affairs Professor O. Mandryk, Vice-rector for international affairs Professor M. Karpash and the Director of the Institute of tourism and geosciences V. Omelchenko went to Poland. They conveyed sincere congratulations to the rector, teachers and students of the AGH from the entire IFNTUOG community. The celebration began with the Divine Liturgy, after which the guests attended the solemn meeting of the Academic Council of the Academy.
