The first working meeting of the Cross-border Network of Energy Sustainable Universities (NET4SENERGY) Project Partners has taken place in Ivano-Frankivsk National Technical University of Oil and Gas on October 29. The Project has started on October 1, 2019 and is financed by the Hungary-Slovakia-Romania-Ukraine European Neighbourhood Instrument Cross-border Cooperation Programme 2014-2020.
Representatives of the partner organizations of the Project, namely the Lead Beneficiary of IFNTUOG, The Technical University of Košice (Slovakia), University of Miskolc (Hungary), the Technical University of Cluj-Napoca - North University Centre of Baia Mare (Romania) participated in the meeting.
After the welcome speech and introduction, the Project Coordinator presented the content of the NET4SENERGY, quantitative and performance indicators. The Partners also discussed a number of pressing issues related to the implementation of the Project, in particular planning of the Project implementation, financial and technical features of the joint Project activities implementation, reporting and visibility issues.
In general, the duration of "Cross-border Network of Energy Sustainable Universities" Project is 2 years (01.10.2019 - 30.09.2021). The main objective of the Project is to increase the efficiency of major universities within the HUSKROUA cross-border region in order to overcome the negative effects of climate change through energy efficiency. The work will focus on ensuring the sustainable development of the territories by deepening cooperation, supporting actions and sharing ideas that contribute to the achievement of the objective. In addition, all four countries, participating in the Program, are interested in finding new opportunities for closer cooperation, including in the field of higher education, municipal partnerships and more.
It should be noted that the total budget is 326 448,04 € for four Partners, including contribution of the European Union - 293 803, 23 €, contribution of Partners - 18 282, 96 €, and budget for the university is 112 151, 14 €
