The department was founded in 1994, in order to effectively manage the process of graduate study. It is a structural subdivision of the research department in the Ivano-Frankivsk National Technical University of Oil and Gas which reports directly to the Vice-rector for Research.
Department’s fields of concern are:
- training of highly-qualified specialists in postgraduate and doctorate;
- general coordination for the effective functioning of the university's academic councils;
- maintenance of the activity of the academic council.
